1. Uppababy Vista
2. Britax Affinity
3. Britax B Ready

A few months ago, I took a look at the Uppababy Vista and fell in love with it and decided to save up for it so I wouldn't feel the pain of spending that much on a stroller. But after I told a friend the price of the stroller and saw her reaction, I started to look at cheaper options. That's when I started researching the Britax B Ready (#3). It's basically a copy-cat of the Uppababy Vista, just half the price. Then I saw Britax was releasing a new stroller that was exactly like the Uppababy Vista AND you could change the color whenever you want (you can purchase a separate color pack).
After listening to another friend's advise, I decided to take a look at all three at the store, and not worry too much about the price. I just had to choose what felt best.
So, Israel and I went to BuyBuyBaby to start our Registry and take a look at the strollers.
We played around with all three for a while, focusing on how easy/hard it was to fold and unfold them.
My cousin spoke wonders about the Uppababy Vista so I wanted to make my decision based on the ability of folding the stroller and being able to place it in my car.
Honestly, all three strollers were a bit hard for me to do. But I can't really base my decision on that because I'm not the strongest person, and I didn't want to push myself too much. So I basically left it to Israel.
Surprisingly, he said the Uppababy felt much lighter than the other ones and I did notice it was easier to fold.
The Uppababy Vista it is!
I've placed it on our Registry, but we'll be purchasing the stroller ourselves.

Best moment this week: FEELING Isabella move!!! Oh it was so cool! But it sucked that it happened when I was in a meeting. I wanted to text Israel right away, but I had to wait. I couldn't stop smiling!
Miss Anything? I do miss coffee on a cold day. I would also love a Pastrami Sandwich.
Movement: Oh yes! I love feeling her move!
Food cravings: Fries
Anything making you queasy or sick: I seriously can smell people's breath from 10 feet away! It's crazy!
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In but it is getting wider.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Oh, I'm so happy! But I have noticed I'm much more sensitive when I sing. Songs make me cry more.

Isabella's First Dresses

Since I found I was having a girl, I couldn't stop myself from going into Carter's during lunch this week.
There were sooooo many beautiful dresses, but I didn't want to go crazy.
I did, however, go to the clearance section to see if there was anything worthwhile.
And this is what I found...

One was $7 and the other $10. Not bad, right? So Isabella now has her first two dresses for church.
I'm not going to buy much for now....and of course her grandma is working on a few dresses herself.
Isabella's grandfather already said this little girl is going to be a spoiled baby.
But don't worry, we won't spoil her. I can't, however, talk about her grandparents.
ESPECIALLY her grandpa.

It's A Girl!!!!

Little Baby Fernandez is a GIRL!!!
Although I had feelings it was a girl, the second before the Ultrasound Technician told us what she was, I thought, 'she's gonna say it's a boy'. The Technician asked me if I had any guesses and I said, "not really". So she asked, 'have you had any dreams?' "Yes! I had one dream that it was a girl".

"Well, It's a girl!", she said.

(I added the bow to the picture hehe. Actually, this picture isn't from that day, which I'll explain later.)

Isabella Fernandez was not cooperating that morning. She did not want to show her face, so we couldn't get great pictures. The Technician shook my stomach, made me turn to my left, turn to my right....nothing! She would not move. She was facing the floor.
The Technician even sent me to the bathroom to see if that would help and when I got back, Isabella decided to show her something else...

Hehehehe...Isabella gave us the thumbs up. She was NOT going to show her face!
The Technician said our little girl has a sense of humor.

So basically, this is what Isabella looked like the whole morning...

She just didn't want to look at us.
(I still say she's like her dad...does not want to be messed with while sleeping haha)

I'll also share with you some pictures from my "gender reveal party". It really wasn't a party, but I baked some cupcakes to reveal Isabella's gender to my Church. We invited Israel's family and we had a blast! Israel's sister was the life of the "party" haha.

Here she did the "spoon and fork" game. Normally, it's done sitting down. You place a spoon under one seat cushion,  and the fork under the other seat cushion.
Then the mother-to-be chooses a seat and sits down (not knowing which one is which).
If you choose the one with the spoon, it's a girl. If you choose the one with the fork, it's a boy.
As you can see, I chose the spoon!

18 Weeks

18 weeks! Time flies. This week was pretty busy. On Tuesday, I went with my mom to the cardiologist to run some tests. I didn't want her to be alone. I had to be careful, though, because people getting tests done had a radioactive dye injected into their bloodstream, so the nurse said I couldn't sit too close to them or touch them (including my mom). Wish they said something before, so I wouldn't have sat in that lounge. So that was a bit nerve wrecking.
But Praise God, my mom is okay. All the tests came out well!

As for the Wedge Cushion I mentioned in the last blog...

This actually works! I just have to make sure I place it well behind my back and it keeps me from laying on my back. So I'm sleeping better, but some days I wake up with some pain in my back, but I just take that as normal.

However, I did have a horrible night last Saturday. My fault though. It seems like I ate too much greasy food that day. Plus, I was at church for too long and I had waited over 6 hours to eat, which I knew was not going to be pretty later on. So of course, I ate too much for dinner, but I was feeling okay and I went to bed a couple of hours later. I woke up feeling real sick at midnight. I was scared I had gotten food poisoning. However, after an hour or so and spending my time in the bathroom (sucked!), I was feeling better. But I could not fall back to sleep. I was not sleepy at all! For the next 3-4 hours, I was wide awake. So I did not sleep at all that night.
Other than that, everything is going well :)

How far along? 17 Weeks, 6 Days (I know, too close to 18 weeks. I'll do better this week)
Total weight gain/loss: 10 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Yes! I got some dresses and a black skirt from ASOS. Everything came out to like $50. That store is amazing.
Stretch marks? Nothing yet. Hope it stays like that.
Sleep: Last night, I slept like a baby, except for the midnight bathroom run, but that's just normal now.
Best moment this week: Israel took me out to a fancy dinner (well fancier than normal hehe). Had some delicious Argentinian-style churrasco with vegetables. It was nice just going out with him.
Have you told family and friends: Yes, and I did put something on Instagram and people were happy for me. That was nice.
Miss Anything? Same thing, a glass of ice cold Coke.
Movement: Still not sure if what I feel is movement or it's in my mind. Hope I feel something soon.
Food cravings: Not much cravings. Just hungry a lot.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Same thing....bad breath haha.
Gender prediction:I think we're thinking it's a girl. But we'll know tomorrow morning!!!!!!!!
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
Happy or Moody most of the time: Thrilled!
Looking forward to: TOMORROW!!! 7:30am! Our Level 2 ultrasound. I'm dying to know what my baby is!

17 Weeks

Hello! I really don't have much to write about for this week. Probably because I don't remember what went on almost 2 weeks ago :p
I haven't been keeping up with the blog....I know, I know, why bother with the blog then?
But I promise, I'll do better now.
Everything is going well. As mentioned, I'm not sleeping "perfectly". Halfway through the night, I just can't sleep. I just stare at the wall, hehe. Then I fall back to sleep, and that just makes it harder to wake up in the mornings.
I did, however, buy a new "pillow" to help me sleep:

It's a Pregnancy Wedge Cushion Pillow from Babies R Us. It's supposed to be placed under your belly for support, but I bought it for my back. You see, I'm still scared about waking up on my back so I thought I'd try this. That way, if I tend to roll towards my back, this will keep me from totally laying on my back. Sounds weird, huh? I'll let you know in my next blog if it worked or not :)

How far along? 17 Weeks, 4 Days
Total weight gain/loss: 9 lbs.
Maternity clothes? One more blouse, just to add some color to my wardrobe. They're so comfortable; from Destination Maternity.
Stretch marks? So far none!
Sleep: Waking up in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep.
Best moment this week:Hanging out with Israel after work and grabbing something to eat. We're not going out as much...just too tired.
Have you told family and friends:Yes, but I haven't really announced things in social media. It's just not me...
Miss Anything? Coca-cola, I do drink sprite once in a while. But I miss my coke.
Movement: Not sure :-/  Sometimes I think I feel something, but I really don't know.
Food cravings: Mangos
Anything making you queasy or sick: People's breath haha. It sounds so mean, but it's true. My mom thinks I'm crazy.
Gender prediction: Most days I feel it's a girl...sometimes boy.
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy most of the time, but people are getting annoying with their "you're so big" comments.
Looking forward to: My 19-20 weeks, level 2 ultrasound. I might get a 3-D Ultrasound done.

16 Weeks

Hello! I have lots to tell!

So we finally went to our 16 weeks ultrasound. I was so excited.
I wanted to see my baby so bad and see if it was a boy or a girl.
Before we started, I asked the doctor if we could record the ultrasound with our phone, and he said of course! So Israel recorded it and I'm so happy because now I see my baby every day and it makes me so happy!
Sooooooo... Little Baby Fernandez is moving like crazy! He/she is still using the placenta as a pillow, but was kicking up a storm. I said he/she will be a soccer player like his/her dad, but Israel says he/she will be a runner like his/her grandpa.
HOWEVER, because Little Baby Fernandez was literally sitting down, Doctor Pinto said he/she did not want to let us know what he/she is. And the funny part was, that when he said that, Little Baby Fernandez, turned and looked at us. It seems as if he/she was laughing at the fact that we couldn't know what he/she was.

Here's he/she looking at us:

Here's a picture from yesterday, at 16 weeks, 4 days:

Okay, now for the questionnaire:

How far along? 16 Weeks, 4 Days
Total weight gain/loss: 7 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Nothing new. I need to get a black skirt though. Haven't been able to find one.
Stretch marks? So far none!
Sleep: I'm having some back pains, but I think it's because of the long hours sitting wrong at work. I've started to sleep with a pillow in between my legs.
Best moment this week: Seeing my baby, of course!
Have you told family and friends: Yes, everyone knows now! :-)
Miss Anything? Still same things. Hot dogs and soda.
Movement: Not yet :-(  I want to feel him/her so bad!
Food cravings: Tropical fruits.
Anything making you queasy or sick: No change from last week :p
Gender prediction: I couldn't find out :-(  I really have no idea.
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
Happy or Moody most of the time: Still happy!!!!
Looking forward to: My 19-20 weeks, level 2 ultrasound. I might get a 3-D Ultrasound done.

15 Weeks

Hello! I'm finally catching up on my posts! I've been pretty busy with work, getting home late and going straight to bed. Although I'm in the second trimester, I'm still tired (probably from long days), so I go to bed early. Not as early as the first trimester, but I get sleepy pretty early.

Here is a picture Israel took of me for my 15 week belly shot. This is a dress from ASOS. I saw it and fell in love with it. It was only $20! Can you believe it?

This is the first time I look at the photo and I thought....'wow, I'm big' hehe. I think it depends on what I wear. It seems like I show more with dresses than pants.

Okay, I leave you with the questionnaire:

How far along? 15 Weeks, 4 Days
Total weight gain/loss: 6 lbs.
Maternity clothes? I've gotten some dress pants for work, and some sweaters from the clearance rack at Motherhood Maternity.
Stretch marks? So far none!
Sleep: I'm sleeping well. Just worrying about sleeping on my back (preparing for week 20)
Best moment this week: I would have to say, going to Church and having the whole Church pray for our baby. It was real touching.
Have you told family and friends: Yes, everyone knows now! :-)
Miss Anything? Not really. I still think of hot dogs hehe. Costco hot dogs mmmmm. Oh! And pastrami sandwiches at times.
Movement: Not yet :-(  I want to feel him/her so bad!
Food cravings: Fruit!!! Mango mmmmm.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Honestly, people's breath lol. My mom says it's my sense of smell, but I smell people's breath from far away and it makes me sick.
Have you started to show yet: Definitely. (I think I'll erase that question soon :p)
Gender prediction: I don't know! I really don't know now....
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
Happy or Moody most of the time: Still happy!!!!
Looking forward to: My 16-week ultrasound! One more week to see my baby!
